Jeannine, Matt and Austin with Nigel Marvin from the Discovery Channel Who is World of Wildlife? The World of Wildlife is a family owned and operated business that was developed by the Tilford family. Jeannine is a Life Science teacher in Florida and has been involved in all types of animal businesses for over 25 years, especially education. She founded and designed a non-profit 501c 3 program that taught disadvantaged and handicapped youth as well as young adults to become productive members of society using animals as therapy. Jeannine has also been involved in the captive breeding of many exotic reptiles and mammals since she was 15 years old. Matt, Jeannine’s husband, is passionate about the outdoors and has been working with Jeannine on various reptile breeding projects, assisting in animal lectures and helping to care for their animal collection. Their son Austin is quickly becoming an animal expert teaching all his classmates, teachers and anyone else he meets about all his animal encounters! Why do they do this? Out of their frustration with the way schools have given up on field trips and have become focused on the FCATS, she and her husband Matt have decided to take action and offer children and adults a chance to learn more about the environment with hands-on approach to learning. The World of Wildlife has designed programs to fit all levels of students from Pre-K through University levels as well as those of you who just have a desire to learn more about wildlife and our planet. They offer parties, classroom lectures and guided field trips for those who want to experience what the world has to offer by seeing, doing, touching and feeling, allowing our senses to create a lasting and inspiring impression. All lectures and field trips can be tailored to fit any age, lectures and field trips have been prepared to correlate with the Florida Sunshine State Standards so that all schools and teachers can take advantage of them as part of their curriculum. For those who are the adventurous type and like to travel, there are customized lectures with opportunities to learn about the native flora and fauna so that travelers can be educated about the local wildlife they might encounter and what to avoid.
